Columbus Yachts, a brand of Palumbo Superyachts, announces the sale, to a European customer, of the first unit of 37-metre Atlantique which will be delivered in 2025.
This all-aluminium new vessel will join the Columbus Crossover 42 model already under construction at Palumbo Superyachts Savona. The shipyard is well equipped with all the adequate infrastructures for superyacht construction as well as being, for quite some time now, a major hub for the After Sale service of Palumbo Superyachts fleets (ISA Yachts, Extra Yachts, Columbus Yachts and Mondomarine) and for the refit of vessels up to 80 meters. The construction site spreads over an area of 30,000 m² and relies on its 820-ton travel lift for faster and safer hauling.
“The Atlantique line confirms its market attractiveness and this is the fourth unit going to be produced. Enrico Lumini, the creative soul of the Hot Lab studio, has designed a line that is undoubtedly destined to become a best seller for the Columbus brand. Furthermore, having already 10 boats between 30 and 80 metres under construction in Ancona, we have decided to intensify the activity of our Savona shipyard which, thanks to its long history, qualified workforce and infrastructure, has all it takes to be a center of excellence on the Mediterranean Sea”. Comments Giuseppe Palumbo, CEO of Palumbo Superyachts.
The external lines and the interior design are by Hot Lab while the naval engineering is by Palumbo Superyachts.
The design is a combination of stylistic, planning and functional elements dedicated to traveling by sea, fully enjoying every single moment spent on board. Great interaction of the spaces with the marine environment, the external lines are clean and elegant, with a touch of sportiness like in Italian grand touring cars appreciated all over the world.
The silhouette of the hull of the entire line recalls the sailing yachts of other times, and the stern area with its panoramic swimming pool is located just 50 cm above the sea.
Columbus Atlantique 37 is compact (330 GT) and has a sporty line with refined interiors. The layout includes 4 double cabins with private bathrooms located below deck, while the owner’s stateroom is located forward of the main deck and is equipped with a bathroom with separate tub and shower as well as a walk-in closet. There are two dining areas, one on the external main deck and the other on the upper deck which can accommodate up to 10 people. The peculiarity of the latter is the large rounded windows, with up/down and lateral movement, which can be closed or opened when necessary to facilitate the constant connection with the sea.
The first garage for the 4.45 metre tender is located on the starboard side, while a second 3.25 metre tender and the rescue boat are housed in the bow hangar.
Columbus Atlantique 37 has a semi-planing hull and thanks to its two 2000hp MAN engines is capable of reaching a maximum speed of 22 knots and a cruising speed of 19 knots.
The client was introduced by Assia and Salvatore Mele of Mele Yacht.
Modernity, elegance, sophistication are the ingredients that make the design of the Atlantique line a point of reference in the global yacht market. Currently under construction at the Ancona shipyard of Palumbo Superyachts are the Atlantique 43 models with and without flybridge and Atlantique 47.
